
DONATION TO ALZHEIMER SCOTLAND
Glenluce Vintage Tractors were delighted to present Karen Anderson from Alzheimer Scotland a cheque amounting to £1,000 at Stranraer Agricultural Show.
This was the proceeds from the raffle held at the annual Tractor Rally held on Sunday 5th June 2022 in Lady Stair Park, Glenluce – this money will be kept and used in the Wigtownshire area. Chairman Ken McKie was delighted with the attendance of spectators and tractor entrants at the event and the general good feeling of everyone that was there.

A cheque was presented to Amanda Harris from Cancer Research UK. This was the proceeds when 44 tractors took part in the August 2020 Tractor Road Run which commenced at Auchenmalg travelling south through Port William, Glasserton and back to Port William for the midday break. In the afternoon they continued via Mochrum, Culmalzie and back to Auchenmalg via Alticry. The weather was brilliant and a good day was had by all. Ken McKie chairman was overwhelmed with the amount of sponsor money raised and also the many donations and collections received, along with proceeds from Maggie's Kitchen which provided tea, coffee and home bakes at the start and the finish of the event. Including the Gift Aid approximately £5,000 was raised for the charity. |
Presentation of Cheques from 2019 Rally to Three Charities
Marie Curie Cancer Care received £1,000, The Scottish Fire Rescue Service Family Support Trust and Prostate Buddies D & G each received £600 at Stranraer Agricultural Show. This was from the money raised by Maggie's Kitchen at the Glenluce Vintage Tractor Rally on Sunday 2nd June 2019.

ANNUAL ROAD RUN 2018 RAISES £3,145 FOR CANCER RESEARCH
GLENLUCE VINTAGE TRACTORS held their annual tractor road run on a very wet Sunday in August. Including the Gift Aid £3,145 was raised. The proceeds from sponsors and donations were presented to Rowan Main from Cancer Research UK. Chairman, Ken, thanks the organisers, marshals and all who took part in the run and helped to make the event a success in very adverse weather conditions.
CHARITIES RECEIVE CHEQUES FROM 2018 TRACTOR RALLY
Glenluce Vintage Tractors held their annual Rally on Sunday June 3rd 2018 and the proceeds raised from Maggie's Kitchen at the Rally were donated to three charities. Macmillan Cancer Support received £1,300. Diabetes UK and Heart & Stroke Stranraer & District Group each received £650.
