GLENLUCE TRACTOR RALLY

The first rally, in 2001, was attended by thirteen tractors. By 2009 the number of tractors and exhibitors was over one hundred.

Glenluce is situated just off the A75, 10 miles from Stranraer and 16 miles from Newton Stewart. Lady Stair Park, the venue of the rally is on Main Street in the middle of Glenluce village.

The Park is open from early morning on the day of the rally for the arrival of tractors and exhibitors. As the rally opens to the public at 11 am we would like all exhibitors to be on the showfield by that time. If tractors are arriving by trailer, then we ask exhibitors to unload on the main road under the supervision of our stewards. Limited overnight parking on the Saturday is available by request, and large lorry loads can be accommodated.

A  light lunch (home made soup and filled roll) is served to every exhibitor.
At about 1.30 pm there is a road run of about 10 miles in the countryside of Glenluce (ice-cream is served at the halfway point) after which the tractors return to the the show field.

The rally attracts a great deal of local interest and there is a variety of entertainment on the show field throughout the rally.

The rally rounds off about 4pm, and every driver is presented with a souvenir of their visit.

Glenluce Tractor Rally is a non-profit organisation. All monies raised  by the Rally are used in the organisation of the Rally or in donations to charity. To date over £30,000 has been raised for good causes.
